While I was waiting for Keisuke in Kawasaki one day, I bought my first Color Club polish. I’d seen the brand before in Japan (never in the UK) and on the net, but had never tried it.

To be honest none of the colours they had ever drew my attention, until I saw the holographic collection, which looked amazing!

I have such a weakness for holographic and duo chrome polishes, I doubt I could ever get bored of them.

My favourite holos

My holo collection so far.

Unfortunately Japan only seems to stock the regular Color Club colours, and I have not found the Holographic collection anywhere :(.

Of course I bought it.

My thoughts..

Fashion Addict is a lilac, medium grain holographic.

Whenever I buy a new holo, I always hope that it will be similar to Chinaglazes ‘Lets do it in 3D’ from the Kaleidoscope Collection(MY #1 favourite ) but unfortunately I can’t say that is the case here:(.

Top to bottom, Colour club, China glaze, China glaze and NCLA.

It is however, comparable to NCLA’s Vacation on Mars, which is another fabulous holo (my #2).

This polish doesn’t disappoint, although it doesn’t have any big holo particles like the Kaleidoscope collection, it is very holographic and super sparkly. In the sunlight, is is just gorgeous. And in someways I kinda prefer it to the Chinaglaze.

Application….

For me, 2 coats gave more than adequate coverage, and it didn’t seem to be effected by my top coat( OPI Start to Finish). It is neither fast or slow at drying…. regular time I guess. Doesn’t matter either way, as I’ll no doubt end up smearing it like I do every time I paint my nails. It last quite well, actually surprisingly well!

Overall, I am really impressed with this polish. It is currently my only Color Club polish, but I intend to buy more.  Hopefully I can get my hands on their actual Holographic collection.

What do you think? Are you a holographic polish fan? Have you tried this?

Thank you for reading, please leave a comment below.
