Tokyo Designer Week is held each year around the end of October, at Meiji Jingu Gaien. It is also held in London and Milan. It’s purpose is to showcase enterprises, sole designers and under graduates designs in product, interior, graphic design and art.

Ksk told me about Tokyo Designers Week last year and about how amazing it was and how much I would really enjoy it. In all honesty I was sceptical. In my mind I had images of Tokyo Designers Week being very much like the trade shows I had to visit as part of my degree course. I did not enjoy my degree and I do not have fond memories of visiting trade shows.

But this year, Ksk really wanted to go and I figured I could suck it up for one day and go with him.

So we went and I really enjoyed it. There is a range of exhibitors to see and a handmade market to visit too.

On to the photos…
