I was before my hiatus, posting my week in photo posts every week but with the break I took, I’ve fallen behind. So I’ll try to break these posts up into month posts until I catch up, and this one is for the remainder of July.
Anyway, back to the Week in Photo’s #38, from July 18th to July 24th.
On Saturday, I meet Melli and Ania in Yoyogi for the Brazilian festival. Over the summer, Yoyogi park hosts lots of interesting festivals.
Unfortunately, that day it rained:( but we still managed to have fun and eat lots of interesting foods. Siobhan also joined us later for an acai bowl in Omotesando 😀

Sunday 19th, I headed to the Brazilian festival again with Ksk and his best friend, there we saw these adorable goats and then headed to Shinagawa Aquarium. We ended the night with Kamata winged gyoza (my favourite kind!), Mister Donut’s donuts and wasting money on UFO catchers. We won, I am now the proud owner of a pudding Gudetama.

Monday 20th of July was Marine day or Sea day, which is a national holiday in Japan. It’s suppose to be a day to be thankful for the sea and all that it provides for us. But we just had a picnic in the park and relaxed. Prior to the picnic, Ksk and I headed to the supermarket for some supplies and found … CHEAP blueberries!! You know you have been living in Japan too long when you get excited about cheap blueberries, but fruit is notoriously expensive here and you have to eat in season.

Friday night, Ksk and I headed to Gunma.

WEEK #39 – July 25th to July 31st.
So Ksk and I headed to Gunma to visit his family and spent Saturday and Sunday there. While there I always take a million photos of his pets and we also took Myumyu for a walk every day.

Sunday 26th, we went to the Brazilian supermarket before coming home. Gunma has quite a large community of Brazilians and so there is also a very well stocked supermarket, with a bakery too. Pao de Queijo is one of my favourtie breads!

We also found BEETROOTS! I have never seen beetroots in Japan, so naturally we bought some and they were as delicious as I remembered them to be.

Nails for the week. I love mint and summer= mint nails.

Ended the week with a work lunch of Korean BBQ and decorating my schedule book on Friday 31st.

Thank you for reading.
