A couple of months ago, Ksk and I visited his great aunt in Shizuoka. It was my first time meeting his aunt and also my first time visiting Shizuoka. I had driven through Shizuoka before but never actually stopped and enjoyed what it had to offer, so I was excited but then nervous to meet his aunt.
While there, we visited the Gotemba outlet store, located nearly 2 hours away from Shinjuku by train. There are so many shops there, we were only there for about 2 hours but I did make some time to visit the Cosmetic Company before we left though. Cosmetic company is owned by Estée Lauder, so it stocks brands like clinque, Bobbi Brown , etc for discount prices. Keisuke great aunty kindly bought me some MAC products.
Those of you new to my blog probably don’t know that I love make up, and I used to adore MAC make up. I say used to because, these days I like a lot of drug store brand and a couple of other high end brands too. So these days my obsession with MAC has dwindled, but I do still like some of their products.
I had been looking at the retro matte collection for a while, but just could not pick a colour. With Ksk’s help I picked All Fired Up and I am so glad I picked it!
All Fired Up is a reddish fuchsia with the classic mac vanilla scent. As it is part of the retro matte collection, you would need to make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturised well, as like most matte it is drying.
Personally I love mattes, and I love the retro matte finish. To me, it really lives up to the name. I feel it give off a 40’s /50’s vibe, which is how I want mattes to be!
As it’s matte, its pretty long lasting. In fact, I was quite shocked at how well it lasted. I think out of all the lipstick finishes I own, this is the longest lasting one I own. But longevity isn’t actually something I look for ina lipstick, so this was a nice bonus.
I adore the colour, it’s bright but wearable and adds a bit of glamour to your look. I like wearing bright lipsticks on my day off, or on a night out. I don’t really have an occasion for it really, just when I feel like it.
I will definitely be buying more retro matte finish lipsticks.

What do you think of the colour? Do you have a bright lipstick occasion?
