The weather has started to cool down in October and it’s finally starting to feel like Autumn.
Week #49 – October 3rd to 9th
Sunday 4th of October saw the start of roast dinners being served at Meguro tavern, and naturally we had to go.

Monday I picked up a curry on the way home… the guy there knows my order by heart now, I go there too often.

Wednesday the 7th, I met up with my friend for coffee and then an impromptu dinner after I found out he was leaving on that Saturday.

I managed to pick up a fluffy cardigan I had been after since last winter on Thursday and found a sparkly jumper too, which was also something I had been after. Every winter shops sell sparkly/glittery jumpers but they’re usually horrible and scratchy.

Found some Halloween Gudetama goods on Friday.

Week #50 -October 10th to 16th
I met with Ellie on Saturday 10th for a catch up and some coffee. Found these adorable xmas cards too. Later in the day, after studying, Ksk and I met with our friends for a pizza date.

I made mabu tofu on Monday 11th. Made as in the sauce was pre made ….I really hate cooking.

Wednesday I met with Ri for donuts! We just hung out and chatted about life in Japan. Prior to meeting up, I purchased Mac Burgundy times nine palette, I’d been thinking about it for over a month.

Melli and I met for a wine date on Friday 16th, followed by a little wander in Donki where we found the best gacha. Squatting shiba …haha.

Week #51 – 17th to 23rd October
Saturday, me and Nic went to Vegefood Festa in Yoyogi, where we had a delicious vegan kabab. Afterwards, we wander around a drug store chatting about everything and anything :D. In the evening, Ksk and I grabbed some gyoza… no surprises there. We even tried coriander and tan tan gyoza, which were amazing.

Sunday, we grabbed yaki niku with Ksk’s best friend.

Tuesday 20th, I met with Anji for pancakes. We went to Eggs’n things, it was my first time trying their pancakes and they were really good.

On the Wednesday, Siobhan, me and Nicola where suppose to go to the Park Hyatt (Lost in Translation bar) but Nicola couldn’t make it in the end. The bar was amazing and the view was incredible.

Thursday, Chie invited me to an Irish restaurant. I was really surprised at how popular it was and how I hadn’t heard of it before but it was a marvellous place. The food was so comforting and hearty, that particular day was a special Irish music night and the owner was telling all the guests about Irish culture and singing Irish song and Irish versions of contemporary music. It was fantastic.

Week #52 – October 24th to 30th
Sunday 25th, we took a trip to Gunma and visited Lockhart castle. It was an interesting place. It’s a Scottish castle right in the middle of the countryside, complete with various collections on display, such as a santa collection and a rock collection. On the way back to Tokyo, we went to Ikaho, a popular onsen spot, but we didn’t got for onsen.

October 30th, Friday was Kathryn’s Halloween party. It was so much fun! I actually don’t like Halloween and usually avoid it like the plaque but Kathryn’s party was fabulous, and really reminded me of childhood parties.

How was your Halloween?
Thank you for reading.
