Pocky Midi X Kirin – Butter custard pocky and apple cinnamon tea.

I’m a sucker for limited edition varieties of snacks, and therefor Japan is the perfect country to indulge that in. Saying that, generally a lot of the season flavours that get released here just don’t interest me. The new Pocky x Kirin collaboration, did however catch my eye.

Firstly, there’s the packaging! How adorable and well thought out. You can align them  to create a prince and princess scene.

Secondly, the flavour. I love custard, I can’t always eat it ( eczema) but I do really love custard. So I rather predictably had to pick these up to try them and they do not disappoint. As the midi pocky are the adult version of regular pocky, this flavour thankfully isn’t too sweet and has a really lovely creamy buttery custard flavour. Since their shorter then regular pocky too, you get a bit more chocolate to your biscuit ratio.
