Week #44 – 4th of September to 11th I ate maze soba with my friend on Friday 4th of September and followed that with udon with Ksk in the evening.

Saturday 5th, Ksk and I went on an epic walk and had good taiyaki! The only taiyaki I have had in Japan has been horrible, soggy and gross. So I was really happy to finally have good, delicious taiyaki. Made a cat friend on the way there too

I met with Becki on Sunday for lunch and pancakes in Shibuya before she left for the UK. That’s a sad fact about living abroad, any friends you do make may move back to their home country.
Monday 7th was the beginning on my JLPT studying. I haven’t been the most studious of students though but I’ve tried.

Week #46 – 12th of September to 18th
On Saturday the 12th, I met with Nicola, Siobhan, Anji, Madeleine, Jennifer, Kathryn, Shell and Astr for Fashion Night Out in Omotesando. I was really excited about going as I’ve never been before, it wasn’t exactly as I thought it would be but it was still a lot of fun :D. Nicola blogged about the evening in more detail here.

Sunday 13th, Ksk and I went on another walk. Ah what can I say, we like to wander. Picked up a coffee at Sarutahiko in Ebisu and had some delicious pies from The pie factory in Hiroo.

I did a bit of Autumn shopping on Monday and picked up a waffle textured tunic. I like just throwing on a lose tunic or over sized jumper with bright leggings and lipstick.
Tuesday 15th, I met with Stasia for brunch in Tokyo station. I know very few good places to eat on east Tokyo but I do know of Cafe Excel, which is a lovely little cafe with good coffee, sandwiches and views!!
In the evening I met with Melli for wine and donuts XD.

Week #47 – September 19th to 25th.
Saturday the 19th was my birthday. I had a picnic in the park on a beautiful sunny day. Perfect.

Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd were a holiday in Japan, known as Silver week. On the Monday, Ksk and I walked over 15km. But it was a very pleasant and relaxing walk.

On the Tuesday, we took it easy and met up with Ksk’s best friend for dinner and drinks in the evening.

Wednesday, I met with Mimei for coffee in the morning at Streamer in Harajuku, I tried the seasonal drink, peanut butter something …. I forgot the exact name but it was delicious! Later I met with Ksk and friends for dinner at a Gunma specialised restaurant.

Week #48 – 26th of September to 2nd of October.
I heard about a coffee festival happening in Aoyama and so on Sunday 27th we went. It was pretty disappointing though. Crowded, small and kinda pretentious. So we left without coffee (it was impossible to get any) and headed to the nearest cafe, which was Omotesando Koffee. I hadn’t been there in over 2 years, but it was still as charming and delightful as ever. Of course, the coffee was fantastic.

Wednesday 30th was the first day of the SCAJ (Specialty Coffee Association of Japan) Conference and Exhibition. The 3- day event hosts a range of different booths, from roasters to equipment companies etc. They have talks too but the main event is the SCAJ Barista semi final and final which takes place over the 3 days.
I went last year but had to wander around on my own which was interesting but not really so much fun. This year, I got to wander around with Ksk, Ben and Mimei, which definitely made the whole day a lot more enjoyable. Mimei took a video of the day here.
In the evening I met up with Siobhan for mexican food, margaritas and a catch up XD. A much needed rest after a busy day of coffee and work.

And so concludes the week in photos ….well monthly round up really. Hopefully for November, the posts will be back to normal.
Thank you for reading.
