A couple of months back, I was really lucky and got to go to the opening party of Streamer coffees newest cafe in Gohongi, Meguro-ku.
Streamer Coffee Company is owned by Hiroshi Sawada (2008 Free Pour Latte Art Champion) and currently has 3 cafes in Tokyo: Shibuya, Harajuku and the newest one in Gohongi and 1 in Osaka.
The Gohongi cafe was my first Streamer experience, and it did not disappoint.
Located under the Toyoko line train tracks, it is a spacious and stylish cafe, with high ceilings and lots of natural lighting. As for seating, they have a variety of seating options much like you would find in a Starbuck or Costa. However Streamer is far more stylised, with concrete and light wood accents, there is even a basket ball hoop! They also have a signature drink, the military latte and seasonal drinks too, right now they have Streamer Affogato, which is vanilla ice cream with a shot of espresso with varying flavours.
Besides drinks, Streamer also sells cakes, merchandise and Streamer blend roast for you to enjoy at home.
Above the cafe is a Kilo Shop, a French company whose main concept is that you buy second hand clothing by the weight. Interesting idea.
As it was an opening party, they were only making lattes but it had a good balance between the coffees bitterness and the sweetness of the milk. Worth adding that they do soy option at the Shibuya branch, not sure about the other branches.

Some samples of their cakes. So delicious.

Even the grinder is customised!

It is a big cafe.

Ohhh shiny.
Overall, it is a really spacious cafe with delicious coffee. Compared to his Shibuya Cafe, this cafe has less street culture decor but they are still about in the form of the basket ball hoop, the sticker covered grinder and his skateboard pour over contraption. If you are in the area, I would recommend you pop in.
Ever visited one of Streamers cafes?
