First week of the new year and back to work we go. First day after a week holiday is always a bit of a struggle I find.
However my first day was brightened when my colleague gave me a MAC Ruby Woo lipstick that I asked her to pick up. In the evening we had dinner with Ksk’s best friend and no surprise it was Okonomiyaki.

Monday’s drinks while I work, strawberry, raspberry mix and orange juice for the vitamin C, since everyone’s been sick recently. .

Since KSK started his new job, he’s been getting home later than me. So on Tuesday I made Thai green curry for us. I hate cooking, I’ve no patience for it and ultimately can’t taste anything I cook. And thus it is a rarity for me to cook at all.
After much to-ing and fro-ing with the delivery company, I also received my evris order. XD

Wednesday evening I met KSK for burgers and forgot to take any photos as I was so hungry I pretty much inhaled my food. On the way home though we passed by Shinjuku’s illuninations and passed a Krispy Kreme, of course I had to pick up one or 4.

I found waitrose custard creams in Aeon on Thursday and made nabe, Japanese hot pot. Yes the highlight of my day was finding custard creams….. eh I like biscuits.

Friday I meandered around Plaza (cosmetic/gift shop) looking for gifts and followed by a chilled evening at home painting my nails and eating kinako mochi ( Soy bean flour covered rice cake with black sugar syrup filling) .

Saturday I met up with Kitsunekun and her husband for a cafe day, we headed to And people and grabbed a coffee in one of my favourite cafes, Filbert steps. It was a lovely day, relaxing, full of good food and company.

Sunday, oh Sunday. I woke up and thought it was the 18th, fail. Follow that by thinking “did I put my shorts on today?” I’ve never forgotten.

I picked up some roast dinner, and then in the evening KSK and I met up with his old work colleague for dinner. His work colleague’s friend picked an amazing Korean restaurant, delicious and cheap. I’m not really a fan of korean food usually, but this place, so good! The kimchi may have converted me.

How do you cope with the first day back after a holiday?
