I ended up being sick for most of week 21, it turns out what I thought had been allergies was actually the worst cold I’ve had this winter.
I ended up being off work for 2 of my 5 work days :(. Even though I was sick I did manage to get some sakura shots.
Week 21 – March 23rd to March 29th
I returned to work on Tuesday and was greeted with Italian Easter cake 😀 from my coworker. It was actually really delicious.

Feeling sick and sorry for myself, I went hunting for Rimmels Eastend snob lipliner on Thursday. I think I picked up one that looks very similar. I also made Bakudan for dinner (basically what ever is on your fridge thrown together).

Friday Ksk and I ate all the gyoza, well not all but we had ourselves a little gyoza feast. My favourite was the hiyashi (cold) gyoza with ponzu…..amazing!

I had though I was getting better and so decided to attend a hanami party (cherry blossom viewing party) on Sunday, I was not better. I managed to take a few photos and then left after a while as I couldn’t hear properly.

Week22 – March 30th to April 5th

I met up with the lovely Becki on Tuesday for the first time and she introduced me to this lovely raw food restaurant in Shinjuku called Tahitian Noni Cafe. Actually, I think this was my first time trying raw food and I really liked it. The chocolate tart was TO DIE FOR. Dinner was bakudon again.

Wednedsay, I finally caught up with Kathryn, we’d tried (and failed) to meet up before but conflicting schedules and sickness delayed it. We went to check out Shinjuku Gyoen’s sakura trees, despite living in Japan for over 3 years, I have never been to Shinjuku gyoen in sakura season. I ended up going 3 times that week :O, as I met up with another friend on Thursday. And on Friday, my friend from home came to visit, so naturally I took him to Shinjuku Gyoen to look at the sakura. (Psssst , there are lot’s of beautiful sakura shots on Kathryn’s blog too!)

My friend won me a big Gudetama in a shell from the UFO catcher, so I returned the favour and won him a small one for his bag (no space for a big one).

Saturday Keisuke and I attended my first proper Japanese Hanami, I’ve been to small hanami parties with close friends before but never a big hanami event. It was ….interesting.

Sunday was a much needed rest day, since the weather was meh. Keisuke and I stay in.
And how was your week?
Thank you for reading,
