I’ve fallen a little behind on my week in photo posts, with all the festivities happening I sort of lost track and tried to eat as much food and take as many photos.

On to the post. *Photo heavy*

Siobhan offered to help me with finding a Christmas present for Ksk after work on Monday, he’s one of those people who already have most things they want or need and if not they buy it. Grrrr.

Luckily we found a few things for him (and some terrifying socks) and upon realising how hungry we both were we headed for the nearest J.S Burger.

On Tuesday Stasia showed me around Shin Okubo. Shin Okubo is Tokyo’s Korea town, and despite that I’ve been going there almost every day since April, I have hardly explored at all. I found it too intimidating, it can be busy and there are loads of shops and restaurants…. Which ones are good?! So I asked Stasia to show me around. In the evening I met up with my friend S and we watched Interstellar at the cinema. Amazing film and soundtrack. Highly recommend it!

Wedneday, Christmas Eve, Ksk and I made mulled wine for me to take to work for Xmas day.

On Christmas Day I went to work, since Xmas isn’t a holiday here a lot of people have to work. I was expecting Ksk to be working but this year he changed jobs and so ended up being off on Xmas.

Ksk got me a Fujifilm Instax share for Xmas, I used to own one of their cameras, and wanted to buy another one but then they came out with this. Love it, but I wish the iPhone app wasn’t so meh. More on that another day though. At work we had a pizza and donut party with some mulled wine, which really helped the “working on Christmas meh” feelings. In the evening I met up with friends for a traditional Christmas dinner at the Tavern, it was delicious and so much fun. Perfect Christmas.

Friday and Saturday were spent recovering from the busy week and preparing for New Years.

Sunday was date day! So Ksk and I went to one of our favourite cafes, Sarutahiko Coffee and took a leisurely stroll to Shibuya. We finished the day off with some karaoke and Okonomiyaki.
